About the Position:
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Process Group.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of environmental, heat recovery, evaporation, chemical handling, and separation systems. They should also be familiar with flowsheet development, heat and material balances, equipment sizing, technical specifications, cost estimating, report and proposal writing. They will also help with technical presentations, Hazops, audits, troubleshooting, and start-ups where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Process & Instrument Diagrams
- Design control systems and safety logic
- Work closely with the Instrumentation, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering departments to ensure that all facets of your work are on schedule and fits seamlessly into the project.
- On-site field support for project & coordination meetings, information gathering, field verification of installation and commissioning.
- Engineering studies and audits.
Qualifications:
Must be a Canadian citizen with a Social Insurance Number
- 10 years of experience as a Kraft pulp mill process engineer
- Chemical engineer with a P.Eng.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent Word and Excel skills.
- Work independently and under the direct supervision of the Vice President, Technical.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other co-workers.
