Job Location:

MTO Northwest - Thunder Bay

Responsibilities

• Complete daily inspections
• Gather samples to complete field test.
• Tracking and reporting on the status of inspection activities
• Complete diaries
• Checks and inspects construction activities, operations, and work to ensure compliance with the contract documents, drawings, CAIS and specifications.
• Report to the Contract Administrator
• Complete item posting
• Take daily/weekly video / photos.
• Inspection and testing to ensure the tasks are completed in accordance with agreement and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication and time management.
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Senior Inspector on MTO or Municipalities jobs.
• Familiarity with critical path scheduling
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with PEO or as a Technician with OACETT. and possessing the Road Construction Contract Administration (RCCA) or the Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI) designation.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering or a post secondary diploma
