About Stepped Care Solutions
We are a mission-driven company and the creators of SC2.0 - a transformative model that fundamentally reimagines mental health systems. We are dedicated to collaborating with organizations and communities to guide the design and implementation of accessible, flexible, culturally relevant, and high-quality mental health and wellness resources and services. Our team is globally recognized for their leadership in transforming mental health systems, their clinical expertise, and their proficiency in implementation science.
Position Summary
We are looking for a Sr Content Strategist to support building processes and writing UX content for the Wellness Together Canada platform and Pocketwell app. In this role you’ll write in-product content while working with a cross-organizational UX team. You’ll lead UX content ops through creating and socializing the right processes and standards across the organization. The ideal candidate loves researching, crafting, and implementing attractive digital content, is experienced with agile-content best practices, and brings a critical and constructive perspective on improving and transforming user experience.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for human-centered and evidence-based content and above all, our users’ experiences and well-being.
- Embody and promote principles of collaboration, transparency, and inclusion – as well as adaptability and communication.
- Maintain and help evolve content standards, standard methodologies, guidelines, principles, and taxonomies for various audiences and initiatives; including strategizing content pillars and maintaining a content library
- Partner with UX researchers, product designers, accessibility lead, and product managers & stakeholders in marketing, engagement, and service provider relations teams to build products that have clear, consistent, and inclusive product language
- Work with research, product, marketing, business insights, and/or other teams to determine their content needs and determine the right process and timelines for each project.
- Apply SEO best practices and use SEO tools to enhance content, in partnership with marketing content writers.
- Bridge the gap between brand and product in the areas of style, standards, and communication in a way that supports the overall customer experience
- Work with a holistic customer journey lens to deliver consistent content experiences across the experience map
- Document and track content strategy's impact on product development, business objectives, and the end user experience, in partnership with UX and Product Managers.
- Write in-product messaging, interface copy, navigational nomenclature, microcopy, interaction flows, error messages, and notifications
- Work with the UX team daily to track projects, provide reviews, collaborate, and learn together.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Comfortable with human-centered design, UX, and design thinking values and artifacts
- 3+ years hands-on experience in roles requiring writing digital content focused on UI content strategy; presenting content outputs to different stakeholders; working with agile teams; and advocating for user-centric content.
- Experience with tools like Figma, UserTesting.com, Notion, Condens, or others in a bonus.
- Advanced experience working with content management systems, browsers and web technologies.
- Experience educating and mentoring UX stakeholders is a bonus
- Knowledge of disability justice principles and community conversations around disability language a plus
- Strong project management skills and experience working successfully with cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to adapt writing style to match a company's brand voice
Our unique advantage stems from our deep knowledge and extensive experience in applying the SC2.0 model to complex system transformations. We challenge the usual mental health medical model by helping organizations develop person-centric systems focused on empowerment and decision-making control for service users.
We embrace a holistic and synergistic approach to mental health care, acknowledging the abundance of healing resources that lead to access, equity, and flexibility in mental health systems. We believe in the importance of incorporating informal services and peer support, valuing a diverse range of expertise to create a comprehensive and effective system.
At Stepped Care Solutions, our actions are shaped by three core values that drive us toward our vision of Wellbeing Everywhere:

- Context Matters - We understand the importance of considering the bigger picture and contextual backdrop for informed decision-making. Our team adopts a holistic approach, going beyond isolated details, to consider the broad impact of our choices.
Working Conditions
- Work remotely from anywhere in Canada with the ability to support the core business hours, our team maximizes technology to work collaboratively with others.
- Full, competitive benefits, SCS has a flexible work environment with generous vacation time.
- No two days are alike. We are a passionate group of people who are invested in change, continuous improvement, and transforming mental health systems!
- Future travel may be required.
