Senior Azure Data Developer

On behalf of our client in the public sector, Procom Consultants Group is currently searching for a Senior Azure Data Developer.

Senior Azure Data Developer :

The client seeks to engage a Proponent to provide one experienced Senior Azure Data Developer.

Under the direction of the Contract Manager, the Senior Azure Data Developer will be responsible for delivering the development of the solution while adopting effective data development practices with an Agile-Waterfall hybrid approach.

The project purpose is to pay out insured depositors in a timely manner in the event of a credit union failure. Credit union data is validated, loaded, aggregated, transformed and grouped for processing by the operations team. The solution is being built on the Azure platform with heavy reliance on Azure SQL.

The Senior Azure Data Developer may also perform development activities on operations and other ongoing or new engagements.

Senior Azure Data Developer Mandatory Skills:

• Proven sound experience in developing applications in Azure using Azure SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of related experience, education and training (Industry recognized software testing certification is an asset)
• Experience in Azure SQL including: creating databases, tables, stored procedures, CTEs, views, functions etc.
• Working with structured and semi structured data (csv ,json, parquet)
• Proficient in current software development lifecycle processes and data development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• The resource must possess a minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in performing software development with at least 5 recent years of proven development as an Azure Data Developer or an equivalent role working in a medium to large scale software development environment
• Developing and maintaining Azure Data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.

Desired Skills:

Experience working in an Agile development processes and within a Scrum team

Understanding and setting up development Infrastructure in Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines.

Experience in Power BI with experience in data analytics, DAX and automation.

Experience with the following in Azure:

• Data Integration
• Monitoring and Optimization
• Serverless SQL pools
• Power Shell
• Data Modeling and Warehousing
• Data Security and Compliance
• Data Transformation and ETL
• Data Storage and Processing
• Logic Apps

The following Microsoft Certifications are preferred:

• PL 300: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
• DP-203: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
