Schedule

• Will be a seasonal position, lasting until the end of August 2023.
• Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts, with possibility of overtime (not guaranteed), will be day shift position.

Position Summary

Working in a warehouse environment, the successful candidate will perform a variety of roles to support our receiving and inventory teams. This role will include operating a power pallet jack to haul pallets for receiving to put away locations. This role will also include inventory control responsibilities such as cycle counting, damage salvage, product returns. Will also include janitorial responsibilities as needed.

Essential Functions

• Using a pallet jack, relocates pallets into the proper aisles from receiving docks.
• Completes inventory transfers/transactions.
• Operate power equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Fixes damaged cases so they can be shipped out to customers.
• Monitors incoming products.
• Uses a radio frequency scanner to scan products for pallet identification.
• Looking for pallets in lost status.
• Performs cycle counts of inventory.
• Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Must be self motivated and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
• Computer proficiency is considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment requiring constant walking, ascending/descending stairs or pallet jack platform, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions).

Requirements

• Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency.
• Must be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry boxes (up to 50lbs, occasional, up to 25lbs occasional, less than 25lbs frequent).
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Work well under time pressures.
• Must be able to work in three temperature zones (grocery zone - 15°C, cooler zone - 3 to 8°C, freezer zone - minus 20°C).
