Job Description

New Directions Aromatics Inc. is a preferred wholesale supplier of essential/carrier oils, cosmetic bases, and natural raw materials to many leading brand-name manufacturers as well as start-up companies in the cosmetics, lifestyle, and health and beauty sectors. With over 900 products and an extensive focus on all-natural and organic materials, NDA is a true leader in this space.

Our sales team drives the success of our company. The company is achieving strong growth and has plans for continued major expansion across North America. The Sales Assistant will support the sales team through administrative work, order/quote processing support as well as following up with existing customers on various initiatives and requests. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow their sales career with New Directions Aromatics Inc. and will be open to taking on new responsibilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Mon – Fri 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in accurately creating and processing customer transactions such as orders, quotes and coordinate special handling for shipping
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Support the tracking of sales activities in the CRM system and update account information
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team
  • Communicate with customers as required to address incoming questions, provide information updates, and assist in marketing/sales efforts
  • Ensure timely follow-up with all leads, and maintain accurate records of interactions

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate well with others
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Ability to use office equipment such as copier, fax machines, scanners, and printer
  • Must be knowledgeable with MS Applications including Outlook
  • Must be able to work independently or with minimum supervision

Education and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a sales or other support roles
  • High School/College diploma
