Job Description
Your Opportunity:


Under the direct supervision of the Calgary Eating Disorder Program (CEDP) Analyst, the Research Assistant will be responsible for: sorting, organizing patient self-report outcome measures. Scoring clinical outcome measures. Transferring scores to statistical databases. Basic descriptive analysis and dissemination of learnings to the CEDP clinical team. Consolidate group evaluation outcomes/feedback into a report that is shared with the clinical team. The CEDP is in the process of launching a Clinical Research Registry. This position will work closely with the CEDP Program Analyst to support and prepare for the launch of the Research Registry. Participating in other program evaluation, or research activities as assigned. There will be daily supervision provided regarding assignment of evaluation tasks and reviewing workload. Administrative supervision will be provided by the CEDP Program Manager. The position is based at ACH and works 4 day shifts a week (Tuesday – Friday).

As a Research Assistant I, you will primarily focus on supporting research projects. Duties may include collecting and managing data, conducting literature searches, assisting with dissemination of research findings, and maintaining research project files. You will use your knowledge and skills to contribute to maintaining high quality data with the philosophy and standards of AHS.

Required Qualifications:


Completion of post-secondary diploma; or degree in a health or science related field; or Certification as a Clinical Research Associate through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).


Additional Required Qualifications:


Level of education is completed post-secondary education, preferably in Psychology, Social Work & Health Sciences (e.g., BA, BSc, BSW). Digital skills: data entry including experience working in SPSS, Microsoft Word, & Excel. Communication: summarizing data for the purpose of disseminating findings to the clinical team. Teamwork includes working in conjunction with several other employees on a multi-disciplinary team. Using problem solving skills as well as sound judgement to help guide data completion and accuracy.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with SPSS, Strong working knowledge of SPSS, Familiarity with Connect Care, Experience with REDCap.
