About The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Manager, and under the supervision of therapists, the Rehabilitation Assistant works with individuals, families and groups to promote movement, occupation, and function. Working collaboratively with their team, the Rehabilitation Assistant is responsible for the safe and proficient delivery of interventions that have been assigned by therapists. The Rehabilitation Assistant also checks and cleans equipment, maintains treatment and storage areas and may order necessary supplies. The successful applicant may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics
  • Organizational ability to complete assigned work and manage changing staffing and caseload levels
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate well with both patients and their families and staff
  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • Rehabilitation Assistant Program (which includes both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy components)
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with team members

Hours
  • Permanent, Part-Time (90%) Position; 63 hours biweekly
  • Shifts include weekdays and weekends. Travel may be required
Compensation and Incentives
$22.39 - $25.44 Hourly
