This contract position provides quality assurance services in support of the Ontario College Quality Assurance Service (OCQAS) organizational needs. The Quality Assurance Associate works with the Executive Director to ensure the consistency implementation of the Standards of Practice for International Education Quality Assurance Audit for and within Ontario’s Colleges.
The OCQAS provides efficient and effective mechanisms to ensure quality and consistency standards are met by the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology (CAATs) in Ontario at both the programmatic and institutional levels.
Responsibilities
1.Train college personnel to facilitate a full understanding of the work of the OCQAS with specific focus on the Standards of Practice for International Education Quality Assurance Audit (SPIEQAA).
2.Assist colleges in in understanding and following SPIEQAA schedule requirements so that activities of the process meet the expectations of the SPIEQAA.
3.Schedule and monitor colleges’ SPIEQAA audit submissions and activities to ensure they are meeting the expected schedule and milestones.
4.Provide strategic input about the SPIEQAA process as a trusted advisor.
5.Communicate and engage with involved parties during the development and implementation of SPIEQAA projects.
6.Assess and further develop the content and quality of SPIEQAA resources, including business and process requirements documents, to ensure they align with and assist in implementing OCQAS strategic objectives and recommendations of stakeholders.
Qualifications
1.Minimum 4-year degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, or equivalent.
2.Knowledge of and experience with the post-secondary education system in Ontario.
3.Supplementary training / education in program development and outcomes-based education.
4.Ability to work and communicate in both English and to work in French would be an asset.
5.Superior writing skills in English.
6.Information technology/computer skills.
7.Adult education and training skills.
8.Interpersonal skills to act as an effective liaison with involved parties in the college system and government.
9.French language skills (preferred).
Experience:
Five to seven years documented successful work experience in a combination of the following areas:
a)Training/education of adults
b)Outcomes-based education
c)Institutional Quality Assurance
d)Policy development
e)International education
This position reports to the Executive Director of the OCQAS.
Ability to work remotely.
Ability to travel to the colleges within the province if required.
Duration of Contract:
·Nine-month Contract (August 15th, 2023, to May 15th, 2024).
What we offer:
·30-40 hours a week.
·$90-100/hour
