Content And Data Quality Assurance Analyst

Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.
Our Safety Reporting Team is seeking a Content and Data Quality Assurance Analyst who will help to ensure to accuracy in data categorization, factually correct, and completion of appropriate data fields and quality content in accordance with Safety policies, procedures, and training requirements and/or regulatory or legislative requirements and quality standards. Additionally, the position will ensure perform data quality assurance practices and leverage quality assurance best practices.

What will I be doing?

• Reviews reports to ensure grammatical and/or stylistic standards are met, are consistent and correct, updates as necessary.
• Coordinates projects and activities to meet scheduled timelines and budgetary commitments.
• Improve documentation standards across the division and introduce quality controls for maintenance.
• Revise, create and implement standard operating procedures, business process documentation and instructional manuals for the division.
• Responsible for proofreading report content for accuracy, and consistent style, tone and diction, makes corrections as necessary.
• Tracks and monitors day-to-day document control activities to organize and align information with established policies, procedures, and project requirements, and to ensure that project information is accurate, controlled, transmitted.
• Develop and maintain templates, adhere to corporate branding, international standards and recognised best practices for production of technical documentation.
• Reviews narrative content to ensure consistency with data categorization, highlights and flags inconsistencies.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

• Superior Oral and written communications skills to write, recommend revisions, and ensure quality report content and quality standards and generate detailed and/or aggregate summary reports.
• Experience proofreading and performing content quality assurance activities to verify that content conforms to defined requirements, and quality standards
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe Professional, and experience working with databases.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a content and/or data quality assurance function.
• Completion of a diploma or degree in English, Marketing, Communications or Public Relations or a related discipline or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
