Your Future Opportunity
As a Support and QA analyst, you will be a valued member of our collaborative and fast-paced team.
This is a full-time position with a contract term until March 31, 2024. At the end of the contract term, there is a likelihood of contract renewal based on the company's & your needs.
Primarily, you will contribute to making our games and platform better by testing to catch bugs before a feature is released. We are also starting an ambitious project that aims to deliver a content frameworkat scale that will enable the management and curation of diverse content for a community of teachers to be used alongside our learning engine,improving learning outcomes for our students. You will be involved in testing the quality and usability of the outcome.
Secondarily , you will help our end users with their support requests.When following up on support requests, you will identify and reproduce issues in the live systems. Your insights and ideas will be a key contribution to our planning and product development efforts.
What You'll Do:
- Monitor and report production issues
- Produce reports/documentation as required
- Establish more efficient communications, automation and scheduling
- Contribute to innovative ideas in team sessions about how to make the products better
- Learn and apply new skills as required
- Test and provide feedback on the product content including gameplay, notification emails, social alerts, and dashboards
- Provide front line support to our users, including troubleshooting and resolution
- Take part in team discussions and decision-making process
- Analyze trends in our support requests to influence product development
- Collaborate on the launch of updates
- Perform functional manual testing for new features on the web and mobile apps as well as our content.
Who you are:
- Ability to query databases
- Ability to contribute to the motivation in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to articulate ideas to both educational and non-educational audiences
- Ability to approach challenges with creativity and a can-do attitude
- Some experience or interest working with customers in a support capacity with technical products, including troubleshooting and documenting it
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with ever-evolving targets
- Positive and proactive team member
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
- 1+ years Hands On QA Testing Experience including designing and using test cases.
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication and relationship-building skills
- Software product troubleshooting skills
- Have experience with QA processes
Bonus points for:
- Experience with CRM and task management tools like Zendesk and monday.com/JIRA/shortcut.com or others.
- Interest in elementary and middle-school education and literacy
- If you are technical and have experience with test automation frameworks
- Experience querying databases.
- Passion for games and gaming
Working Conditions:
Shoelace Learning consists of a 100% remote team. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday. It is required to have at least 4 hours overlap with 9am-5pm EST working hours.
