The opportunity:

Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Solution Delivery – BA/QA, the Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for managing the coordination and execution of testing efforts to ensure delivery of quality digital products and data. The Quality Assurance Analyst will work in close co-operation with the solution delivery team including Project Management, Engineering/Development and Business teams.

The incumbent will apply analytical and business skills to evaluate the quality and performance of new or enhanced systems and solutions, designed in-house or through vendors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all major defects are closed and sign off is provided.
• Participating in meetings, walkthroughs, and presentations of new features as well as changes to existing functionality.
• Supporting the QA lead with the Defect management activities.
• Supporting the BA team with the maintenance of Requirements Traceability Matrix; Support trace test cases/scripts (manual and automated) to requirements / stories.
• Ensuring that newly implemented system features, or enhancements meet user needs.
• Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents & providing feedback to the Business Analyst.
• Participating in Defect triaging & ensuring the right priority is assigned to defects.
• Reporting on open/closed defects to the QA Lead / Project Manager.
• Conducting all types of testing for SAAS and internally developed applications (e.g., functional, regression, integrations, load, stress, performance).
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Developing and executing Test Automation Framework and Automated Test Cases.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proficiency in Java or Java Script test frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium, Cypress etc.
• An ability to work diligently and urgently on time sensitive matters.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing deadlines and priorities.
• Proficiency in creating test scripts using the Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber Java or Cucumber JS.
• Experience with Web applications, Data, APIs, Front and Back-end testing.
• 5+ years of strong knowledge of end-to-end test methodology (test strategy, test plan, SDLC, defect management and test reporting metrics)
• Knowledge of API/REST testing, test frameworks, and tools such as Postman, Apache JMeter.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• 5 years software testing; experience in both, waterfall, and agile methodologies.
• A solid foundation in systems testing and software QA best practices, methodologies, and techniques
• Prior experience in the wealth management industry would be an asset.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
