Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Coordinator /Buyer to join our client's West Edmonton Head Office location. As the Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels for stock construction materials and daily consumables, while coordinating all purchasing activity in the office. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this company is very stable and in growth mode - they looking to develop and grow talent withing their team.
This role is 100% office based

Responsibilities
Main Job Tasks Include:
  • Coordinate and communicate purchasing requirements
  • Verify all receipts and packing slips
  • Prepare requisition orders as required
  • Coordinate routine inventory counts
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships
  • Source and research best product at the best price
  • Maintain and monitor product inventory levels
Qualifications
  • Computer savvy in MS Office Suite, with intermediate Excel skills
  • Exposure to the Building, Manufacturing or Construction industries
  • Clear oral and written communication skills
  • 2+ years in a Purchasing or Junior Buyer position
