Job Description

We are presenting this Exciting opportunity for a Purchaser either remote (Alberta) or in person in Grande Prairie, on behalf of our client. As a Purchaser you will have a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Duties will include:

  • Communicate via email, phone, text with techs to assist with their orders
  • Negotiate surplus sales to other suppliers and/or contractors
  • QBs, Create PO’s, receive PO’s update pricing.
  • Coordinate all carrier pick-ups.
  • Manage internal folder structures, maintaining CRN’s and MTR’s current in O drive folder
  • Ensure order confirmation pricing is correct with corresponding accounts/quotes
  • Provide material quotes
  • Prepare small quotations
  • Filing field tech’s orders, quote requests, etc
  • Source parts and come up with alternate solutions
  • Negotiate competitive pricing with vendors and suppliers
  • Deal with vendors on pricing and/or shipping errors

Your skills and experience:

  • Proficient in using Microsoft office suite
  • Highly motivated and driven
  • Experience in purchasing processes specifically within Electrical & Instrumentation (at least one year)
  • Previous experience working in an administrative role required
