Our client is a storied producer of chemical ingredients and industrial chemistry, which are sold into various operations across the world. A long standing and well-respected facility, in full growth mode. They are looking to bring a budding Purchasing professional to add to their growing Purchasing Department!

Position Description


This is a unique role that will have you interacting with all the departments of the organization from manufacturing to warehousing and even sales. It is a healthy mix of administrative tasks, as well as inventory management, purchasing, logistics, negotiating freight and even some supply chain management.


You’ll be part of a growing manufacturing environment, working closely with the Purchasing Manager. This is the perfect role for a motivated professional who is a self-starter. It is also a role where your input is important and where finding efficiencies in the process will be rewarded.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Knowledge of INCOTERMS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods
  • Strong computer expertise, specifically using an ERP systems
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong writing, listening, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a process improvement mindset considered an asset
  • Post-Secondary Education in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and Teams
