The position requires the individual’s involvement in detail’s associated with, but not limited to, administering the company’s purchasing activities to deliver a cost effective, timely and value-added purchasing function.

Responsibilities:

• Administering all day-to-day activities associated with the procurement function.
• Ensuring purchasing related activities are completed in accordance to company standards.
• Inventory and parts management.
• Negotiating cost effective arrangements with suppliers
• Timely reporting and follow up on all ongoing purchases.

Must have:

• Prior experience with an MRP system(s)
• Previous buyer experience
• Prior use and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• 5 years’ experience supporting drilling and service rig construction
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience with Sage Accounting would be considered an asset

About the position:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Local travel required 3-5 days a week
• Home based position, must have the ability to travel
• Term Contract:Approximately 18 months with the possibility of extension
