The role we are offering you:


  • Test, calibration of controls and motion systems
  • Responsible for simulator readiness for verification and validation
  • Install software on simulator and perform software/hardware integration on various systems to ensure simulator functionality
  • Resolves integration problems and maintains required documentation up to date on customer site
  • Execute activities on simulator following standard tasks backlog.
  • Act as main point of contact for Health & Safety-related matters while on customer site.
  • Identify, document and fix hardware and software integration problems by interacting with support team in Montréal
  • Generate Qualification Test Guide (“QTG”) results for qualification
  • Support activities during customer acceptance and qualification phases
  • Analyze projects requirements and customize simulator configuration.
  • Integration, calibration of simulator instruments and systems
  • Shift work and international travel required
  • Organizes and schedules the integration of all sub-systems.
  • Perform logistical/administrative duties as required


Our ideal candidate has:


  • Experience in flight simulator or aviation environment an asset.
  • Ability to manipulate software to debug, troubleshoot, update and compile code for use in a flight simulator application.
  • Knowledge in aircraft systems, aerodynamics, flight dynamics or control theory considered an asset
  • Ability to learn and apply skills in the flight simulator environment in order to maintain and operate all required equipment.
  • High level of customer focus and result-oriented.
  • Understanding of visual projector and auto-calibration systems an asset
  • Knowledge of any programming language an asset
  • Makes technical decisions to resolve issues
  • Leadership to act as a test site supervisor on standard products with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Good software and hardware troubleshooting capabilities
  • Able to work under stressful situations and take appropriate actions, when required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility (working schedules, field trips location and duration, tasks) and strong project and assigned tasks ownership
  • Self-motivated, dynamic, team player with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology
  • 1-5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of calibration of electro-mechanical systems.
  • University degree or technical diploma in mechanical/electrical/aerospace/software engineering or Computer Science; or equivalent experience
  • Experience on simulator or real aircraft is an asset.
  • Validate, Identify and document hardware issues electrical and mechanical designs using CAE standard hardware reports mechanisms (problem report , NCR …)
  • Knowledge of CAE standard hardware tools and processes related to XR simulator technology
  • Effective communication skills (spoken and written)
