Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Quality Assurance (QA) to lead and manage our software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within scope, while ensuring the highest level of product quality through their QA expertise. As a Project Manager with a QA background, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide the project from initiation to completion, and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of software development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that quality goals are met, and products meet or exceed user expectations.
• Leverage your QA background to establish and implement quality standards, processes, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks, issues, and obstacles early in the project and develop mitigation strategies.
• Implement effective risk management techniques to minimize project disruptions.

Stakeholder Management:

• Regularly communicate project status, milestones, and challenges to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to gather requirements and ensure clear communication.

Resource Management:

• Allocate resources, including human and technical resources, effectively to meet project objectives.
• Manage and coordinate the work of project team members, ensuring optimal performance.

Project Documentation:

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation.

Quality Metrics and Reporting:

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project progress and quality.
• Generate regular status reports and performance metrics to keep stakeholders informed.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive the implementation of lessons learned and best practices across projects.
• Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains within project management and QA processes.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Solid background in Quality Assurance with knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile PM, etc.) is a plus.
• Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality projects.
• Proven experience in project management, with a focus on software development projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts and practices.
• Experience in risk assessment and mitigation planning.
• Experience in both traditional Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of software development technologies and languages.
• Previous experience as a QA Lead or QA Manager is advantageous.
