Production Manager - Day Shift

TechSearching for our client, a machinery manufacturer, we have an immediate opening for a Production Manager.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the production processes and provide direct leadership to Production Supervisor and Team Leads.

Provide direction and support to Supervisor to ensure schedule, cost and quality targets are met.

This also includes support in the resolution of personnel issues.

Create resource and capacity plans and determine requirements for outsourcing & subcontracting of manufacturing, when needed.

Achieve and maintain on time delivery by ensuring production schedules and resource & capacity plans are created, updated, and followed.

Monitor and manage production resources with a high degree of labour utilization.

Evaluate employee performance and provide additional coaching and support as needed.

Responsible for recruitment, hiring, terminations of production staff and facilitates company’s performance management program.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in a manufacturing related field preferred.

10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with the majority of this time in a management capacity.

Direct working knowledge of manufacturing operations (machining, welding, fitting, machine building).

Computer literacy with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft products.

Experience with ERP systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
