THE OPPORTUNITY:
Be part of a dynamic team working to improve the quality of education within hearing healthcare to clinicians and their patients. AHead Simulations is an innovative medtech startup providing new training and demonstration products in the hearing aid industry. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Production Assistant to join our team and contribute to the assembly and manufacturing process of our hardware and software products.
As a Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in the efficient assembly and production of our hardware and software products. You will work closely with the entire team, ensuring that all components are assembled accurately, quality standards are met, and delivery deadlines are achieved. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small startup and contribute to the growth of an exciting venture in the hearing aid industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize and become proficient in 3D printing, silicone molding, and through hole soldering
- Collaborate with the team to optimize assembly processes, improve productivity, and reduce waste.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking and reporting stock levels, and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of required components.
- Other tasks as required
- Office maintenance and housekeeping
- Perform assembly tasks according to established procedures and guidelines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in product assembly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Test new un-released technical products for assembly integration and technical issues
- Inspect components for quality and integrity, reporting any defects or issues to the production team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and participating in team discussions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous Fusion360 experience is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, startup environment with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in electronic or hardware assembly is required.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small components.
- G drivers license and access to vehicle is a plus
