What You’ll Be Doing


The Processor, Operations Management [Unionized] is responsible for posting and processing complex items and investigating requests to resolve processing errors. The role is accountable for verifying documents and providing prompt service to internal and external clients through the processing of financial or non-financial transactions. The Processor follows well defined procedures and guidelines to escalate issues in a timely manner that require contact with clients, further analysis or investigation for resolution. The role maintains adherence to risk and governance standards by completing all requirement documentation, ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed. As the Processor, Operations Management you will be responsible for CIBC products such as various Lending accounts You will liaise with Internal and External Partners in fulfilling any requests in this matter. You will also be required to become first point of Contact with our partners who may have questions or concerns about our products and process. You will also be responsible for overseeing the various processes handled by the team.

How You’ll Succeed


  • Transaction Processing - Monitor mailboxes of the department and track any anomalies to assist with financials, handle escalations from & to business partners in relation to transactions processed in the team. Perform daily transactional duties required by the business to meet our clients’ needs, which include verification of data and data entry. Help manage the day to day production within the team by distributing work, providing feedback and training, processing validations and investigations, following up on investigations within timelines and meeting deadlines for process requirements.
  • Facilitate Continuous Process Improvement - Proactively look for opportunities of process improvement within compliance to impact positive client experience & smooth operations. Update and upgrade to stay up to date with changes/impacts in the team, ensuring that officers are agile to move with process changes.
  • Relationship Building skills - Maintaining regular contacts with the internal and external CIBC partners. Work compatibly with officers, supervisors, peers and directs. Develop an in depth understanding of the processes and procedures of the department and establish the importance of customer service quality.
  • Technical Skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and internal CIBC systems including COINS, TSYS and Post Edge is an asset.
