Description


The Process Technology Manager will be responsible for leading early process studies, technology evaluations and overall project development initiatives through application of experience in process design and technology implementation, with specific focus on the ammonia industry. The Process Technology Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the technical process activities associated with assigned projects, technologies and/or clients.


  • Plan, organize and direct the execution of feasibility studies, technology evaluations, and conceptual designs as required to support client projects or initiatives.
  • Manage client and team relationships on multiple assigned projects to help ensure that the process design basis is technically sound and meets the client project objectives. Provide technical oversight of assigned projects from early Front End Planning (FEP) through detail detailed design and construction.
  • Identify opportunities and support business development efforts to prepare submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, and related activities.
  • Coach and mentor sales pursuits and proposal development teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and representation of the company through active participation in conferences and technical seminars, including activities such as writing papers, delivering presentations and/or supporting conference marketing initiatives and events.
  • Mentor project staff by providing guidance, instructions and expert level technical advice.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Actively maintain current knowledge and understanding of market trends, and technologies. Provide periodic updates to division management in support of strategic initiatives, as well as marketing and sales efforts.
  • Manage the technical direction and mentoring to other engineers as assigned to support the process engineering efforts of major process facility projects.
  • Manage and support the quality review process for assigned projects, including the feasibility or soundness of proposed plans.
  • Manage work activities of technical personnel in the production of process engineering deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field from an accredited program.
  • Advanced degree and/or professional designations (Professional Engineer license) are desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Proficiency in the use of process technical tools and software including process simulators and equipment rating programs.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Minimum 13 years related experience in design engineering or consulting required. Previous Engineering & Construction (E&C) experience is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of process industry design concepts and best practices specific to the ammonia industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading Front End Planning, detailed design and construction on process facility projects preferred.
