Position Summary:


The Solutions Architect - Presales must be a trusted advisor asking specific business and technical questions to uncover a client’s needs and align Pivotree product offerings to the customer needs. The ideal candidate will have superior communication skills, enjoy consultative selling, and have experience architecting Supply Chain capabilities such as OMS (Fluent Commerce OMS, Sterling Commerce OMS, or other OMS solutions), WMS, TMS, and integrations to and from supporting enterprise solutions. In addition, the Solutions Architect - Presales will learn, understand and promote Pivotree Supply Chain’s IP such as Pivotree Control Tower, Pivotree Connect and Pivotree WMS. Candidates must have a range of experience that demonstrates delivery of best practices, drives frictionless solutioning based on out of the box development vs. customization, and defines quickest time to value for our clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

● Accountable for developing and delivering qualifying Supply Chain architecture recommendations to customers and Partners in conjunction with Account Executives

● Technical qualification and consulting to ensure the proposed solutions meet the business and service level requirements of the customer.

● Act as a subject matter expert (SME) during the sales process, becoming the glue between the application, technology, design and the final solution that meets the business needs of the client.

● Translate business and technical requirements into written proposals, quote/configurations, diagrams, and master service agreements.

● Create and deliver technical presentations (in person, webinar) to prospects about Pivotree services and the proposed solution.

● Cultivate and utilize partnerships, internal resources and strategic Supply Chain vendors.

● Understand the role security and customer privacy plays in the design of an application and its infrastructure.

● Consult with internal Solutions Architects to ensure deliverables are viable and handoff solution to Supply Chain delivery team post-sale.

● Participate in product development. Ensure knowledge transfer and training of sales staff on our services.

● Be market sensing and responsible for evangelizing features and products for Pivotree Supply Chain customers.

● Be available for occasional travel to customer premises.


Key Skills and Competencies

● 8+ years of Supply Chain Solutions Architecture experience or equivalent consulting / management experience in developing Supply Chain architectures.

● Strong communicator in groups and ability to lead business and technical conversations with senior technical and business resources.

● Familiar with leading supply chain technologies and interested in applying them to old, or novel use cases.

● Proven history of providing live demonstrations to end-customers virtually, and in person.

● Proven experience with Supply Chain applications, Software-as-a-Service applications, OMS & WMS platforms. Fluent Commerce and or Sterling Commerce a plus.

● Experience with Software Development life Cycle (SDLC), Quality Assurance Methods, DevOps and CICD

● Self-starter that meets deadlines, multi-tasks, sets and achieves measurable goals.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

● Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking ability, and attention to detail.

● Demonstrated ability to manage abstract conversations and turn them into actionable requirements and insights.

● Excellent written and verbal skills.

● The ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in order to maintain required productivity levels

● Quality and consistency of proposed solution in relation to business requirements, technical viability and service level requirements.

● Accuracy of quotes. Responds in a timely fashion to requests for information and help.

● Gains credible reputation within the partner / client base for delivering highly valued fit for purpose solutions.

● Develops and delivers technical solution training on a regular basis to sales staff.
