  • Attend Board of Directors' meetings, internal working committee meetings, and stakeholder consultations to present draft policy and regulatory proposals
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of WorkSafeBC policy, regulation, and practice

Is this a good fit for you?

We're Looking For Someone Who Can

  • Communicate effectively in writing and be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Gather and analyze information, recognize problems and opportunities, create and evaluate alternatives, develop solutions, and make appropriate decisions and recommendations
  • Plan and schedule work, develop realistic action plans, and manage time effectively
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to staff
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Your Experience And Background

  • A graduate degree in a related field such as law, occupational hygiene, engineering, public administration, or business administration
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following areas is preferred: health and safety regulations, the Workers Compensation Act , workers' compensation policy and practice, or statistical analysis
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the interpretation and application of legislative, policy, and regulatory requirements is preferred

Written Samples Required

Please provide two written samples of documents you have self-authored. Examples of documents to submit include reports, research papers, policy documents, technical documents, or briefing papers that have policy or legal considerations. Written submissions must not exceed 20 pages in length. Place your samples in the same document as your resume or cover letter and submit with your online application.
