Job Description


Position Title: Network Planning Manager


Location: Paris Parts Distribution Centre, Paris


Travel is required to Casselman, Ontario and Leduc, Alberta


The Network Planning Manager is responsible to support the diverse components that make up the Canadian Partis Distribution Centres Operations. This position is responsible for developing organizational budget plans, leading facility management, transportation and customer service.


Responsibilities


  • Ensure all dealer communications are responded to within targeted timeframes
  • Lead and facilitate preparation of 10-year network development plans, including budget and technical specifications
  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations, health and security standards and energy efficiency requirements.
  • Lead a team of 6 Customer Service Representatives
  • Lead all DDS account activity to ensure continuous improvement through planning and new technology implementation
  • Monitor and maintain security, fire & surveillance systems
  • Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
  • On time delivery planning to ensure OTD targets are met or exceeded
  • Effective forecasting and Management of the Networks Facilities and Tooling budget
  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across the network
  • Prepare proposals for network development project feasibility
  • Oversee building projects and renovations and m anage relationship with IFM contacts to ensure timely response for any facility related concerns
  • Foster a positive working relationship with Unifor local leadership
  • Manage PMHV fleets
  • Support service relationships with Dealers and Part Managers
  • Ensure flawless flow of parts through proactive planning and cross-functional communication
  • Responsible for directing and overseeing transportation-related operations within FoC
  • Liaison with US Transportation team to ensure awareness of Customer related concerns and corrective action planning
  • Monitor and maintain building equipment and subsystems


Qualifications


  • Proven leadership experience to develop our future leaders for the DPA parts advantage environment.
  • Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehousing, and Transportation experience desired
  • Extensive background and success with building relationships and working with Unifor.
  • Extensive and detailed experience with Partners in Customer Satisfaction (PICS) and Just in Time processing
  • Embody Ford + leadership behaviors
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Education: Completion of Post-Secondary (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
  • Dedicated, Passionate, Self-Motivated, Creative Thinker and Decision Maker
  • Extensive Distribution Operations experience in the Daily Parts Advantage (DPA) environment.
  • Ability to manage to deadlines / timelines, with high degree of planned and unplanned variables and complexities.
  • Knowledge and experience with Parts Service and Logistics Vital Few Metrics (KPI’s)
  • Drive for results, analytical skills, business acumen and ability to work independently and collaboratively with our partners.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn SAP, MMP, SFP, and other PS&L unique systems.
