NDT Crane Inspector
- Location: Edmonton and Area
- Pay: $22-$50 per hour
Primary Purpose:
We are looking for a motivated NDT Crane Inspector to join our company. As our inspector, you will be responsible for the inspection of our customer's equipment. Inspectors will travel to various service calls throughout the day. Each day will be different, as our company provides services to a wide range of equipment owners. You will be interacting with customers daily throughout our service areas.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, efficient, and have practical problem-solving skills. You will be interacting with our customers daily and having patient and respectful behavior is a must as you are representing our Inspection company.
Responsibilities:(This list may not include all the duties assigned)
- Check equipment documentation for compliance with provincial legislation.
- Visually inspect equipment for damage.
- Use MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) to help look for cracks.
- Document Inspection.
- Recommend repairs to equipment after communicating with our Engineer.
Basic Position Requirements:
Abilities:
- Physically able to move items weighing 50 lbs or higher.
- Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent mechanical and technical skills
- Ability to be persuasive with customers when necessary.
- Reliable and Self Motivated
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.
- Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting events happening at the same time.
- Possess interpersonal skills to relate to customers and solve issues.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of computers and tablet use
- Knowledge of hand tools, mechanical tools, and inspection experience is a plus, butnotrequired.
- GED, High School Diploma, or suitable equivalent
- Knowledge in google search, and Navigation systems is a plus.
Training Required:
- 3 months training, based on experience.
- Monthly technical seminars.
Working Conditions:
- The job environment is fast paced and results oriented.
- Be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license.
- Must be okay with getting dirty while climbing around equipment.
- Must pass Drug test, Background check and Driving Record check.
