Equipment Inspector Jobs

Do you have experience in fabrication and in-service pressure equipment inspection? Are you looking for a full-time position? Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary Equipment Inspector in Fort McMurray, AB (fly in fly out, rotational, 14 days on, 14 days off). In this role, you will manage regulatory requirements, communicate to the regulatory body and maintain records for pressure equipment.
Roles and responsibilities:

• Performing external, internal and installation inspection of new and in-service pressure equipment
• Performing inspection and verifications in accordance with the requirements of inspection test plans
• Implementing and sustaining the ABSA approved Pressure Equipment Integrity Management Program (PEIMP)
• Providing QA oversite for pressure equipment repairs and alterations
• Developing inspection plans and providing direction for 3 rd party inspectors for the coordination and execution of inspections
• Managing regulatory requirements, communicating to the regulatory body and maintaining records for pressure equipment
• Reviewing and actioning summaries of inspection and NDE findings, provide recommendations and develop repair plans for pressure equipment
• Providing technical support to site operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel regarding inspections, NDE and damage mechanisms
• Investigating failures and participating in root cause failure analysis

Skills and qualifications:

• Diploma in Welding Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology with a minimum 5 years of experience for fabrication and in-service pressure equipment inspection
• Have a valid driver's license
• Knowledge of regulatory and industrial codes and standards such as CSA, ASME, National Board and API.
• Knowledge of materials and processing, welding, NDE and damage mechanisms
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Strong commitment to safety and work management systems
• ABSA In-service inspector certification and API 510 certification. Certifications in National Board, API 570 and API 653 would be an asset
• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
