Job Summary

This position has been created within This Company's Power Systems Department to attract highly technical and motivated professionals fully conversant with inspection of High Voltage electrical equipment's in LV, MV and HV electricity networks. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will drive innovation, influence equipment suppliers and contractors to develop and implement improvements to the installation, maintenance and reliability of electrical equipment. Knowledge in how the power system operates, good communication skills, understanding of international standards and familiarity with equipment from various suppliers combined with an appreciation of safety and SA processes are keys to this position.

Responsibilities:

• Report any repair that requires material or design change or any engineering evaluations.
• Attend equipment's pre-commissioning and energizations.
• Ensure that all individuals directly involved in the splicing or termination of electrical power cables with insulation that is rated above 1,000 V have current valid certificates as per GI-0002.705.
• Perform inspection and witness test of various materials and equipment at site to verify compliance with company standards as per Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor maintenance work and quality system to ensure adequate performance and compliance with company quality requirements.
• Conduct annual checks on electrical testing instruments, used by maintenance as per ANSI/NETA ATS.
• Ensure that all repairs and inspection, test record are documented and filled properly.
• Perform inspections based on audit plan, equipment inspection schedule, and overall schedule developed for Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Attend regular and task-oriented meetings within the department and other departments/contractors.
• Participate in the mechanical acceptance activities and prepare the Exception Item List (EIL) in (MPCS) as per the guidelines of GI-2.710 if applicable.
• All QC checklists to be filled and compiled.
• Perform the required spot checks on plant maintenance PM check and repair activities on the critical electrical equipment.
• Prepare inspection and surveillance reports, LBE in QMIS/SAIF or any other system implemented by the department.
• Perform focused assessments of specific work elements to ensure that the maintenance quality activities and processes are effective.
• All electrical critical system alarms reported by operation/found in the annunciator panel shall be reported as a DN.
• Report any electrical finding to Operation Foreman and Field Supervisor, issue DN (Defect Notification) or LBE, ensure that ETC does not lead to a hazardous situation and update the completion status to Sr. Inspector.
• Fulfill all day-to-day routine works/instructions from Sr. Inspector.
• Review contractor quality plans, procedures, and QA/QC personal qualification if applicable.
• Ensure no overdue inspection as per EIS intervals.

Requirements:

• If having any certification like ISO 9001:2008/2015, NFPA 70 Certified, or equivalent, it will be preferable.
• This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
• Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of electrical installations, Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location classification.
• Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC or equivalent standards for HV equipment's.
• 4-year electrical engineering degree.
• Ten (10) years of relevant industrial experience (5 years including in the proposed specific inspection specialty).
• Candidate should have general knowledge of ISO 9001 quality requirements as well as international standards, as applicable to their proposed discipline.
