Job Description

The position of National Account Manager - North America at New Initiatives Marketing Inc. is a dynamic and results-driven role responsible for driving revenue growth and establishing strong client relationships.


You will collaborate with the CEO to identify and pursue new business opportunities, build a robust pipeline, and achieve sales targets by effectively selling our marketing services.


Salary Range: $50,000 - $250,000


Tasks


  • Identify and target potential customers through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and networking activities.


  • Conduct sales presentations to showcase the features, benefits, and value of our services.


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.


  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and execute sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.


  • Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the engagement.


  • Continually update and maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunity pipelines using CRM software.


  • Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to effectively position our offerings and identify new opportunities.


  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand networks and generate leads.


  • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide feedback and insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.


Qualifications and Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus. EXPERIENCE ticks the box for us as well. Don't let this hold you back.


  • Proven experience as a National Account Manager, Sales Executive or in a similar role, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.


  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, techniques, and methodologies.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships and negotiate with customers.


  • Strong presentation and persuasion skills.


  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small business, fast-paced, target-driven environment.


  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for pipeline management and customer relationship management.


  • Resilient, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.

Lines of Communication

The National Account Manager – North America reports to the CEO.


Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with standard working hours, Monday to Friday. The National Account Manager - North America will work in an office environment but may also need to travel to customer sites or attend industry events. Occasional overtime may be required to meet sales targets or address customer needs.



About New Initiatives Marketing Inc. (NIM)

Established 2009 – NIM provides Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) + expert B2B marketingteam services. You can’t just have a strategy; you need to get it executed. Our difference is that our Fractional CMOs all come with a strong, established marketing team behind them meaning that our clients are never left hanging with just the strategic plan to figure it out for themselves. We execute it for them.


Our sweet spot for clients is the B2B companies in tech, tech services, industrial and non-food manufacturing. They are typically $3-$10M in revenue and were growing but are finding that their sales-led initiatives are stalling out and plateauing. They’re ready to get serious about marketing. They may have tried some random acts of marketing in the past, they may have one lone wolf who is expected to do it all or they may not have anyone in-house doing anything with marketing.


For the lone wolves, we support them with our marketing team services. For those with no marketing at all, we support them with the Fractional CMO + marketing team – we become their marketing department.


NIM has been remote since day 1. We certainly see our clients in person when asked, however, most of the time our client meetings are done via Zoom. The professionals who make up our company are the fractional CMOs, writers, web designers, email marketers, analysts, and social media managers. They are all professionals running their own small businesses or are consultants with their own clients. They contract with NIM on a per-client basis. Many of them support more than one of our clients, and many of them have worked with us for 3+ years with our longest continually serving professional starting with us back in 2016.
