Mortgage Collection Specialist Jobs

Purpose of the role

The Mortgage Collection Specialist communicates with clients and other persons with an interest in the secured property regarding arrears and other payment concerns and to collect such arrears in accordance with the Company policies, procedures and customer service standards. The scope of this role ranges from collection on arrears / bring the account current, analysis of the loan payment history, recommend resolutions, as required, to commence proceedings for delinquent accounts.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of service and support to all customers and interdepartmental relationships
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all communications, correspondence, and repayment details and or other matters of interest in the system of record.
• Review and action all assigned workflow to ensure that files are followed up on in a timely manner to remedy default
• Achieve and maintain monthly all targets and standards as set by management
• Responsible for all outbound and inbound contact from all clients and related parties in order to cure arrears
• Maintain a best-in class relationship with clients, subsequent encumbrances, solicitors and brokers

Related Experience

• Mortgage Collection or related legal administrative experience an asset
• 2 years in administrative role
• Working knowledge of Residential Default process, Mortgage Origination & Servicing process preferred
