Mining Engineer/Geologist, Startup Technology Mining Sector

Salary to CAD $140K plus Equity and benefits

Our client is a well-funded institutionally invested, startup company engaged in the sale of technology to the mining industry globally. Due to tremendous growth, we have been retained for the search for a newly created position to lead and develop the sales process of their new products.

Duties Include:

• Manage spreadsheets, technical information (43-101, PEA, etc.).
• Develop technical projects related to technical mining reports
• Preparation of written proposals, partnerships and alliances
• Support sales and marketing from a technical perspective for mining projects, being the subject matter expert (this is supporting the sales process and not a sales role)
• Developing relationships with customers, to educate them regarding this new and innovative technology

Candidate Should Possess:

• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
• Hybrid role split between Toronto and from home
• Experience in a startup or very entrepreneurial environment helpful
• Strong written and verbal skills
• 10 years+ technical mining experience gained as an engineer or geologist
• Strong mining and geological software expertise
• 4-year university degree.
• Excellent spreadsheet and modeling skills

This is a great opportunity for a seasoned mining technical professional, working on the mining vendor side (this is not a sales role, but supporting the mining sales process from a technical perspective. It would suit someone who might be tired of working in a bureaucratic environment, looking for a fresh new challenge.

In any newly created company in the last few years, there can be some bumps along the way, but the rewards can be great in the short to medium term. This role would suit someone who has the "take the ball and run with it” attitude.
