Pay Rate
Pay Rate for this Job is $25 / hour
What You'll Be Doing As AMillwright / Maintenance Mechanic

• Respond to assigned maintenance requests; troubleshoot equipment breakdowns; diagnostics; corrective and preventative maintenance
• And spare stock inventory; ensure change parts are available, in good condition and stored appropriately
• Interpret part and machine drawings and sketches
• Complete documentation, work orders and parts requisitions
• Welding and fabrication of equipment and parts
• Perform machining operations to manufacture and repair machine components to tight tolerances
• Recommend machine or equipment purchases, changes to preventative maintenance schedule and checklist
• Fabricate machine parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup
• Perform routine maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, conveyors, bucket elevators, dust collectors, packaging lines, wrapping machines
• Assemble, modify, install and rebuild machinery and mechanical equipment; repair and replace defective machinery parts
• Other duties and responsibilities as required

Job Requirements

• Positive attitude; strong work ethic; desire to achieve goals; self-motivated
• Ability to work both individually and in a team environment; fast paced
• 433A Certificate of Qualification (Ontario License)
• Attention to detail; high level of accuracy; manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings and schematics
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) – Fluent in English; ability to receive and follow instructions;communicate with coworkers and supervisors to identify any issues or opportunities for improvement
• Ability to operate hand and power tools, and use measuring devices
• Valid Drivers License
• Strong mechanical aptitude; comfortable with basic math; good computer skills
• Valid Forklift Drivers License
