Job Description

Canadian South Asian Women represent a strong, equal, and growing population. South Asian women entrepreneurs and professionals need equal representation and support in business. We need to set an example fr our future generation of young women that they can succeed and bridge the gap in all professions.


It is time that we begin to break the barriers, to promote and reinforce South Asian women in their work, entrepreneurship, and success. The CSAWCC seeks to do just that. We strive to create a center to foster and promote South Asian women professionals' excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Staying up-to-date with the organization’s programs, services, and policies
  • Informing others about the organization
  • Making personal financial contributions to the organization
  • Following developments in the field that may inform decision making
  • Serving on committees or task forces and taking on special assignments as needed
  • Participating in reviews of financial statements
  • Referring board nominees who could make significant contributions to the work of the board and the organization
  • Attending board and committee meetings as well as special events
  • Reviewing meeting agendas, minutes, and materials related to discussions


Qualifications

  • Ability to listen to others and provide input in a professional manner
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask on different projects
