Position Summary

A permanent full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist opportunity is now available at the Lillooet Hospital & Health Centre!


With this opportunity comes eligibility for a $10,000 signing bonus as well as a generous relocation allowance

What will you work on:

As the Laboratory Technologist you will work independently within our supportive and small team environment, providing vital Lab services to both inpatients and outpatients from the community and surrounding areas. This is a generalist Lab position and offers interesting and varied work within across all areas of Core Lab.


Typical duties may include: routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, greeting patients, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.

The Lillooet Hospital & Health Centre is a Level 1 Community Hospital, located in Lillooet in the Fraser Canyon, the hospital offers services including 24-hour emergency and laboratory.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program

• Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS

• One (1) year recent related experience.
