A casual Medical Lab Technologist opportunity is now available at the 100 Mile District General Hospital! The days of work are rotating and shift times include day and evening shifts with an overnight on-call.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. What Will You Work On
As the Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) you will work independently within our supportive and small team environment. This is a generalist Lab position and offers interesting and varied work within the Core Lab. Typical duties may include routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, greeting patients, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.

The hospital offers services including surgical, inpatient and emergency. OMH is a 16 bed community level hospital. The general medicine unit operates 24 hours. Other services provided include: 24‐hour ER services, Pharmacy, Day Care Surgery and more. The lab provides safe, convenient, respectful and accessible laboratory outpatient services to our patients.
Community: 100 Mile House is a historic town with a vibrant and close knit community in the heart of the Cariboo. It is located approximately 5 hours north of Vancouver and only 2 hours from Kamloops by car.
