Medical Laboratory Technologist I (Northern Health)

Under the direction of the Chief Medical Technologist, obtains and prepares specimens for routine analysis. Performs various routine Hematological, Microbiological, Biochemical and Immunohematological testing in accordance with Departmental Procedures.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, 07:00 to 15:00, 06:45 to 14:45, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 12:00 to 20:00 (Rotating)

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is the largest hospital in northwest BC with 27 acute care beds. They offer emergency services, ultrasound, CT scans, surgery, extended care, pediatrics, radiology, and obstetrics. Qualfications

• One (1) year recent related experience.
• Experience in all the above disciplines preferred.
• Graduate of an approved school of Medical Laboratory Technology and current Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science registration.
