About This Role
You are eager to provide your burgeoning technical expertise as part of a team that takes on consistently complex projects across a wide range of business units. You are familiar with data functions including data modelling, visualization, data profiling, data origin and lineage, report design and more. You will employ these disciplines to help create data related solutions to drive business results. You thrive on positive feedback and use your specialized knowledge to implement feedback systems that evaluate your team’s progress and create innovative new ways improve your overall performance.
We are looking for someone to work as part of a trailblazing team of data scientists who create groundbreaking analytical solutions that improve our core work enterprise wide.
As a Data Scientist I, you will be supporting Financial Reporting Control(FRC) Data & Analytics function to deliver:
  • Work with different teams on identifying Transit/Suspense/Cash account
  • Undertake additional analysis related to exceptions and trends – produce governance and exception reporting e.g., significant period over period changes, analyze QoQ changes in attestations, etc.
  • Efforts to automate parts of data sourcing & ingestion (as feasible)
  • Re-configure to ARCs : Data engineering and platform update to switch attestation & reconciliation data from current tools (ACATT, Trintech) to ARCs
  • Tracking registrations, attendance and pending to date. Manage module in dashboard on trainings assignments and completeness
  • Move to Cloud : Migration to Akora on Cloud from Akora on Prem
  • Support FRC on Business segment breakdown 4.Support Future Ongoing Enhancements
  • Support FRC in its ongoing oversight mandate for various control & oversight activities as required – example include completeness checks at quarter ends, exceptions reporting, variance root cause analysis etc.

  • Enhancing data source to minimize sideloading process (onboard data to Akora) Job Requirements What can you bring to TD? Tell us about your most relevant experience, credentials and knowledge for this role, as well as these essential requirements and attributes:
  • Add and operationalize incremental metrics related to new policy requirements, monitoring and oversight. 2.Operationalization of Chart of Accounts Policy (CCOA Policy)
  • Quality checks, data integration and refresh of various reports used for policy governance.
  • Support ARCs discussions & requirements and reviewing new logic for ARCS data feed
  • Support implementation of controls and monitoring for CCoA Policy implementation e.g.,
  • CCOA and Attestation Dashboard Maintenance and Development
  • Ongoing development and enhancements to key metrics and KPIs to monitor policy compliance
  • Tracking of closed, deleted & purged account in various GL systems
  • Development & operationalization of new oversight metrics 3.Ongoing daily support (examples below)
  • Defining target audience for training based on mandatory roles and nominations from various teams. Extract details like emails and ACF2’s
  • Assist to remediate gaps identified in chart of accounts governance and end-to-end oversight control
  • Tracking of newly opened GL accounts & dimensions, oversight of dynamically open accounts by business segment & source
  • Create reports for FRC’s oversight and monitoring mandate including business rules & data lineage for various reports, reports for submission to Internal Audit for remediation testing, progress updates for Project Lotus, etc.
Advanced Big Data Processing
  • Familiarity with Attestation & Reconciliation processes & tools
  • Good understanding of General Ledgers & Accounting, Governance & Controls and associated data structures
  • Advanced coding in data processing tools like Python, PySpark, Databrick.
  • Knowledge of key terms & KPI’s related to policy, controls, governance and oversight activities & processes
  • Developing new views – ability to design & develop complex views & metrics
  • Updating existing views – update parameters, refresh data to update existing modules, perform QC, optimize load time Business Knowledge
  • Link big data platform to BI tools using data connectors Advanced Tableau
  • Perform activities like data modeling, integrating files, record roll-up & attribution, deriving analytical attributes etc.
Project Management
  • Ability to understand metrics & validate with business partners, conduct Demos to gather feedback
  • Documentation Skills like drafting Technical Documentation, Business & System Requirements, PowerPoints
  • Perform data QC & completeness checks and undertake root-cause analysis in cause of any discrepancies Company Overview Our Values
