We are proud that with our exceptional teamwork within our organization that we can provide our clients with unsurpassed services while integrating all practical measures to prevent injuries and illness to our employees and our customers.For more information about us please visit masonlift.comAbout the OpportunityMasonLift is currently looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated Mechanics/Technicians (Heavy Equipment, or Automotive) to join our team in Delta, Victoria, and Prince George on a full-time basis.As our new Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs on forklifts and various types of industrial equipment on-site at customer locations.While no two days will ever be alike in this role, your more typical responsibilities will include:Performing repairs and maintenance on material handling equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electronic, gas/diesel, and hydraulic systemsWorking with grinders, drill presses, air compressors, and other power toolsAnalyzing wiring diagrams and instruction manuals to diagnose componentsUtilizing safe work practices and procedures that follow all company Health and Safety guidelines and policiesMaintaining accurate work records on company-issued tabletsDemonstrating continuous efforts to improve efficiencies, and technical skills, decrease repair time and work cooperatively and jointly with others to provide quality customer servicePerforming quality inspections of completed repairs in order to ensure the thoroughness and sustainability of equipment returned to serviceMore About YouIn order to qualify for this role, you must have completed High school or equivalent education proficiency.You must also have at least ONE of the following:2 years of experience for a mechanic with forklift mechanic experience OR2-3 years experience for a mechanic with heavy equipment experience OR4+ years of experience for a mechanic with automotive experience.Candidates with electrical millwright experience will also be considered.You must also have exceptional customer service skills along with a valid driver's license and clean abstract and previous related technical experience.The following will be key to performing this role:Experience in any of the following industries - Auto, Forklift, Heavy Duty, Truck and Coach mechanic auto or heavy equipment mechanicMust be safety conscious and have knowledge of best practicesExperience repairing Toyota machines is a definite assetBasic computer and tablet skillsKnowledge of the use of hand tools and measuring devicesAn understanding of the use of electrical/electronic diagnostic tools/measurementsSelf-motivated, well-organized individual with the ability to work independentlyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbove all, you'll be a strong team player who is eager to learn and grow while also being passionate about the work that you do.About the BenefitsIn recognition of your hard work and dedication, you'll be rewarded with an attractive hourly wage of $34-$40 based on location, skills and experience.For Victoria the hourly wage is $34-$38.You'll also be entitled to an excellent package which includes:3 weeks’ vacation to startEmployer-paid benefits such as medical insurance, dental, vision, disability coverage, life insurance and moreNo flat rateRRSP matchA service van with gas, insurance and repair expenses coveredAdvancement opportunitiesYearly tool and boot allowanceCompany cell phoneAn extensive hands-on Training programA stable company with 70 years of business excellenceIf you're looking for a satisfying and enjoyable workplace and would like to take your career forward with an established, well-known industry leader, Apply Now!
