Automotive Refinishing Technician / Painter

We're currently seeking an Automotive Refinishing Technician for our Bridge Street location in Victoria. We offer competitive flat rate wages at %100 full sheet, ranging from $20 to $24 flat rate. We are well known in the industry, with an excellent reputation, leading to busy shops with plenty of available production hours for our technicians.

Responsibilities include:

• Cleans and polishes painted surfaces and imperfections to meet Craftsman standards;
• Inspects repaired panels and bodywork to meet quality standards;
• Inspects vehicles for flaws after baking and corrects;
• Documents in progress repairs, including photo documentation;
• Ensures quality control hand off to Autobody Technician is completed;
• Matches colors and mixes paints;
• Contributes to material usage tracking and consumption.
• Preparing surfaces for painting by spot filling, sanding and masking;
• Applies primers, primer surfaces, sealers, base coats, single-stage and clear coats in accordance with manufacturers OEM specifications;

• Red Seal certified or equivalent experience

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
• Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract over the last 3 years
