Automotive Refinishing Technician / Painter

We're currently seeking an Automotive Refinishing Technician for our Kelowna Central location in BC. We offer competitive flat rate wages at %100 full sheet, ranging from $22 to $28 flat rate, plus material and production bonuses. We are well known in the industry, with an excellent reputation, leading to busy shops with plenty of available production hours for our technicians.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing surfaces for painting by spot filling, sanding and masking;
• Documents in progress repairs, including photo documentation;
• Cleans and polishes painted surfaces and imperfections to meet Craftsman standards;
• Inspects repaired panels and bodywork to meet quality standards;
• Applies primers, primer surfaces, sealers, base coats, single-stage and clear coats in accordance with manufacturers OEM specifications;
• Contributes to material usage tracking and consumption.
• Ensures quality control hand off to Autobody Technician is completed;
• Inspects vehicles for flaws after baking and corrects;
• Matches colors and mixes paints;

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
• Ability and willingness to learn new software/online applications
• Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract over the last 3 years

• Strong verbal and listening skills
• Red Seal certified or equivalent experience
