Mechanical Engineer Jobs

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client- an established engineering firm known for their expertise in providing innovative and sustainable solutions across a wide range of sectors, including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering. With a track record of successful projects and a commitment to client satisfaction, our client continues to be a trusted leader in the industry.

This individual will work as a leader and provide technical expertise on projects, act as a mentor to other Engineers, and work with others to increase the overall technical capability regarding projects.

Responsibilities:

• Plan or review projects requiring the expenditure of a considerable amount of manpower and financial investment.
• Work with Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Relationship Managers and Directors to secure large multi-company projects..
• Stamp project design and reports and that of engineers in training
• Have the ability to apply for a Federal security clearance in order to work on institutional projects as required.
• Work as Relationship Manager or Technical Specialist to provide clients with finished projects in a timely manner.
• Establish basic operating standards and accomplish objectives in the most economical manner to manage unusual conditions.
• Understand and participate in resolving issues with cost control, non-recoverable expenditures, and utilization.
• Identify completed projects that are eligible for technical awards, ensure projects are submitted.
• Analyze existing data to forecast business decisions regarding budget forecasting, budget variances, client profitability, risk management and report findings to the Engineering Manager or Engineering Director as appropriate.

Requirements:

• AutoCad and Revit
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• EGVC Stamp
• Larger, light industrial experience
• P.Eng. status with appropriate provincial association
• Plumbing and HVAC experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 5+ years of industry experience
• May hold Masters Degree in Engineering
