Profile

The 4-month mechanical systems design student will work closely with a team of engineering specialists. Tasks will include providing support for type design change projects, drafting drawings and creating models for prototype parts and installations, and participating in design change related integrated product development teams (IPDT) as part of the engineering change notice (ECN) process. The successful candidate will contribute to digital data creation, including modification and creation of digital engineering data to support design changes on the aircraft.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide simple root cause investigation under direction/supervision from applicable department leads.
• Review existing engineering drawings and draft drawing changes to support design change projects as directed.
• Create 2D/3D manufacturing data using SolidWorks/AutoCAD.

Education And Professional Qualifications

• Current engineering student (bachelors or masters)

Experience

• Previous experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Skills

• AutoCAD 2D Drafting, SolidWorks/CATIA 3D Drafting, Microsoft Office, reading and interpreting engineering drawings
