Job Summary


The Material Movement Handler is responsible for the transportation, storage, and organization of all detail and mechanism materials in Plant 1. This position works closely with the Advanced Technical Planner, Details Coordinator, Mechanism Coordinator, Small Components Business Unit Manager and Shipping & Receiving in ensuring efficient operations with adequate resources and organization within Plant 1. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, company and health & safety policies and ISO quality program and procedures.

Qualification:


  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • FCS cleaning and maintenance.
  • Help with machine setup when required
  • Pull and deliver material as requested by Managers/Coordinators
  • Capable of forecasting and solving problems
  • Deliver completed work to the correct department.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, geometry and their applications
  • Capable of operating heavy equipment such as a forklift and crane
  • Willingness to offer opinions and direction
  • Receive, transport, store and organize material as it arrives
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to adapt and welcome change in a positive manner
  • Positively contribute to a healthy corporate culture by building trust, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement
