Job Description
The STEVE MARSHALL GROUP is looking for a high energy, focused, inspiring individual with a passion for marketing and the automotive industry. As a strategic communicator, you have the ability to excite our customers, while supporting and mentoring our team in overall marketing concepts and strategies.


We are building a team of outrageously high performers that are pedal to the metal and wanting to win in an atmosphere of fun, teamwork, competition and commitment to one another, our clients and their collective experience.


While building an overall marketing strategy for our auto group, you will also have the exciting task of supporting, and working with, each of our dealerships with their local marketing efforts.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure 'old school' methods such as radio, TV or print are all part of your toolbox where required
  • Implement paid search, PPC, and SEO strategies/campaigns
  • Tracking conversion rates – what worked, what didn’t, and why?
  • Develop and manage all aspects of the auto group's digital marketing campaigns
  • Develop strategies to drive online traffic to the auto group's website/social media
  • Support, and advise, each SMG dealership location with their local marketing efforts
  • Build marketing plans, manage budgets, and deliver on goals set
  • Conduct market research to identify target markets, and ensure effective campaigns
  • Raise brand awareness and online presence through digital marketing projects and campaigns


Requirements:


  • Excellent understanding of legal requirements around CASL, contests and advertising
  • Working with a CRM system
  • 5 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience with data analysis, content creation, and SEO/SEM
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Social media experience in designing and managing posts and projects
  • Ability to effectively manage your time (75% from your home office / 25% working on site at our dealership locations)
  • Degree or diploma in marketing, or a related field
  • Graphic design skills


Wage:


  • $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience

Ability to commute/relocate:


  • The successful candidate will be centrally based in BC, and will be required to spend up to 5 days per month travelling to, and working at, our dealership locations around BC (Campbell River, Courtenay, Surrey, Kelowna, Vernon....and growing!)
