We are currently looking for a Manager, Incentives Planning at our Corporate Offices in Ajax, ON
As a charismatic, courageous, and confident business professional, you will design and implement sales incentives for new and certified pre-owned (CPO) Volkswagen vehicles to optimize volume opportunities.
Reporting into the Director, Sales, you will utilize your strong analytical and financial skills to develop incentive programs, prepare forecasts, and monitor and analyze company, industry, and competitive performance to make recommendations to achieve sales objectives and revenue targets while staying within allocated budgets. You will work closely with internal stakeholders including the Manager, Retail Marketing in the design and execution of monthly incentive programs.
**This is position is hybrid and requires 2 days in our Ajax office**
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching the Retail Programs Manager
- Maintain New Vehicle Incentive Spend Forecast by updating forecast file with necessary billing rates (Volkswagen Finance), program specials rates, and/or cash measures and ensure accuracy using program actuals.
- Recommend direction for new vehicle sales programs to VW Management and Finance Controlling based on: analysis of market conditions and competitive positions; analysis of past programs and understanding of trends in incentive actions thorough model years as well as through model life cycle; analysis of effectiveness of competitor incentive campaigns; detailed cost comparisons for proposed programs vs. past programs and budget.
- Provide all required program information (rates, cash support, and other means) to Volkswagen Finance to ensure VW Sales bulletins are published on time.
- Develop detailed incentive scenarios through which VW can capitalize on opportunities through close cooperation with Product Planning and an understanding of market and price/payment indices.
- Develop and continually enhance efficiency of reporting, presentation and reporting templates by establishing repeatable and interchangeable formats.
- Identify opportunities and risks for sales and incentives though detailed analysis and understanding of market conditions, understanding of current and forecast inventory positions and understanding of cost requirements for proposed actions.
- Develop and / or assess potential for regional specific sales programs.
- Liaise directly with Marketing to ensure proper functionality and accuracy of the VW.ca website vehicle configurator, payment estimator, as well as the Special Offers pages.
- Work with Marketing to ensure incentive programs are effectively integrated into all retail advertising.
- Maintain new vehicles sales incentive budget to ensure authorized budget limits are maintained. Develop sales programs and associated monthly bulletins / program matrix for one time distribution.
- Compile, distribute and maintain all competitive program information to ensure readily available for review and use in future analysis of program impacts. Ensure VW Sales field staff stay informed on competitive performance.
- Process dealer claims and address inquiries related to incentive payments and exceptions, both the claims handled directly and those administered on VW's behalf by the Incentive Help Desk in Auburn Hills, MI.
Qualifications:
- Flexibility to travel as required (10-15%) and adapt to the changing needs of the business and customers
- 1+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
- Self-motivated with drive to succeed
- Comfort looking at financials, assumptions, and scenarios at high-level and granular levels
- Confidence to present to and answer objections from senior management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar field and/or equivalent relevant work experience
- Budget and forecast management skills
- Interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to negotiate with and influence key stakeholders; Fluency in French an asset
- 3+ years’ automotive experience, preferably working with contest and incentives; automotive retail experience an asset
