Position Summary


The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing the rollout of standard equipment and ensuring compliance with various regulations and specifications required by our customers.

Location: Bois-Des-Filion

Schedule: Hours 6 am to 3 pm

Required Skills

· Ensure the availability of vehicles according to operational needs; and provide a daily report of equipment available to logistics operations

· Collect and read safety reports in order to plan repairs and remove vehicles from the road

· In the event of mechanical breakdown on the roads, collaborate in the decision-making to remove and/or repatriate the equipment and take the necessary measures

· Perform rental return inspections and preventive vehicle audits

· Validate the diagnoses of contractor mechanics on complex repairs or maintenance and take responsibility by authorizing and/or analyzing the repairs up to $1500.00 maximum. Above this amount, refer to your superior.

· Direct repair requests

· Plan and evaluate the costs of annual maintenance or replacements for machinery, equipment and vehicles and recommend decisions to be made to management

· Maintain good interpersonal relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers

· Ensure to follow the proper schedule for preventative maintenance, and record any corrective maintenance of the fleet.

· Proceed with requests for repairs for the fleet, according to company procedure.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of five (5) years in fleet maintenance and management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office suite, excel, word and outlook
  • Knowledge and application of the pre-trip inspection
  • Understands tools, equipment, and cost management systems;
  • Understanding of Law 430 and Parts Ordering;
  • Experience in the transportation field;
  • D.E.P. in diesel mechanics; Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment; Any relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Asset: Hold a class 1 FM driving license

Autonomy, reliability, good sense of organization, versatile, initiative, safety conscious, attention to detail, resourcefulness, thoroughness.

Other special requirements:

May have to travel between different sites. Minimum valid class 1 driver's license, good driving record.
