Job Description

Digital Services and Real Property (DSRP) is currently looking to staff the Logistics and Events Delivery Support Team Lead position (ADG-C).

The Logistics and Events Delivery Support Team Lead is accountable for ensuring that broadcasted events related to the House of Commons, Senate of Canada and their committees’ proceedings are successfully hosted and supported by delivering audio-visual services. In this role, you will develop and implement innovative strategies, plans and tools to better support Digital Media and Connectivity Services (DMCS) operations by capturing and analyzing data and statistics for planning, reporting and service improvement purposes. In addition, you are optimizing and increasing the team’s capacity for better use of human and technical resources and supporting the governance around the management of events. The demands are constantly growing and require you to manage an operational team supporting the logistics and scheduling of numerous DMCS employees and events while managing clients’ expectations and providing recommendations on the feasibility of various projects and events.

This position will require mostly onsite work in our downtown Ottawa office and requires opting for an irregular schedule. Regular work hours may vary between 8h00 am and 8h00 pm. The position may also require availability to work overtime and or on short notice.

Qualifications

Education:

  • University degree or a college diploma in Communications, Business, Broadcast or audio-video service management OR an acceptable equivalent of education, training and experience. 

Experience:

  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in events planning and scheduling environments.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in building business partnerships with clients and partners;
  • A minimum of three (3) years managing human resources, including planning, and analysing impact and capacity;
  • A minimum of three (3) years providing day-to-day guidance to employees, setting objectives, and managing workloads;

Assets:

  • Experience in coordinating or supervising broadcasting or events operations and ensuring quality control assurance.
  • Experience working in an operational environment with various high-level events and activities requiring innovative and effective logistics solutions;
