Lodge Manager, full-time, seasonal
Are you a seasoned hospitality professional with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences? Are you ready to take on a leadership role in a prestigious luxury lodge? Join our team at the Bison Lodge as a Lodge Manager and play a pivotal role in creating a world-class destination that exceeds our guest's expectations.
Position Summary
As the Lodge Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of theLodge's day-to-day operations, helping the staff team with guest relations, food service, housekeeping, and property management. Your leadership and expertise will shape the guest experience, foster and culture of excellence, and maintain the lodge’s reputation as a premier destination.
Full-time seasonal position from December 15th – April 15th
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest and most consistent standard of service for allLodgeguests.
- Document guest’s details in the company CRM system
- Communicate all guests’ requirements and schedule with the staff team and massage therapist.
- Collaborate with Business Development Manager to develop and implement new ideas and procedures to continuously improve performance and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a high standard of conduct, dress, and appearance.
- Create a warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere for all guests and staff.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the lodge and around the property.
- Ensures all policies and procedures are in place, communicated, understood, and adhered to.
- Manage supply inventory.
- Scheduling of staff in accordance with business needs and budget guidelines. Covering any vacancies or last-minute changes.
- Orientation and training of new staff, and ongoing training of existing staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry and luxury market
- Comfortable working as a part of the team, both in leadership and supporting roles
- Knowledge of local attractions, activities and services is a plus.
- Great interpersonal skills- the ability to build relationships with clients and well as maintain good working relationships with employees.
- A high standard and knowledge of service and wine are desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations while multitasking effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Driving license
- Valid working visa for Canada
- Basic computer skills- spreadsheets and emails
- Ability to overcome logistical issues, problem solver, highly organized.
