Position Title: Legal Translator
Work Location(s): Ottawa, Ontario
Salary: $70,524 to 93,150
Language requirements: Bilingual – Imperative (P--/PP-) Level P will be evaluated by way of a translation exam

Create a pool of fully qualified candidates to staff identical or similar positions within the Translation Bureau with various security and tenure requirements (permanent and temporary).

What qualifications do you need to join our team?
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in translation (from English to French) from a recognized postsecondary institution
OR
A degree in the legal field and a specialization* in translation from English to French from a recognized postsecondary institution
*The specialization in translation may have been obtained through one or more certificates consisting of a total of 30 credits in language transfer and 15 credits in related courses or through a graduate diploma in legal translation.
EXPERIENCE:
At least two years of full-time experience in English-to-French legal translation
