Nice to Have Skills and Experience

* 5+ years of experience in translation from English to French

* Writing and research skills and a demonstrated ability to apply them to translation and content validation

* 2+ years in a financial services role would be a strong asset

* Exceptionally fluent in both English and French

* Bachelor's degree in Translation (English to French)

Competitive pay: 30-32$ per hour

Sorani and Kurmanji native speakers

Keep Project Managers informed of project progress and meet client and internal deadlines.

Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for your role and assigned by your manager.

Make recommendations to your manager on ways to improve any processes, etc., as part of TDC Montreal’s commitment to continual improvement.

Ability to learn new skills quickly and being comfortable working with various technologies and interfaces.

Ability to support multiple projects and manage shifting priorities while keeping accurate track record of time allotted to each.

An excellent knowledge of the methods, tools and procedures used in the profession as well as good computer skills.

Knowledge and experience within the insurance industry will be considered as an asset.

Minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally some of which was acquired in a supervised environment.

Have experience with a translation memory software.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both official languages.

Communicate with clients to clarify issues and gather relevant information

Excellent (written and verbal) communication skills and cultural knowledge of source and target languages (English and French for Canada).
